Iper Supermarkette: Food and Art Collide in Bologna for ArteFiera 2025
The exhibition titled "Iper Supermarkette" will take place at Palazzo Hercolani – Bonora in Bologna on February 7–8, 2025, coinciding with ArteFiera 2025. This event is a progression from "Supermarkette," which was first showcased at Galleria Lampo in Milan on June 13, 2024. Culinary critic Maurizio Tentella conceived the exhibition, with Mariano Franzetti serving as curator under the guidance of Nicolas Ballario. Featured in the show is Alessandro Pizzuti's work, highlighted by a neon sign reading "FAME." The exhibition tackles various social, cultural, and environmental challenges, including global warming and satirical perspectives on Italian food traditions. A temporary "Bar Sport" will serve thought-provoking drinks, while the exhibition critiques the imagery of mass consumption, intertwining themes of branding and corruption to explore food and its context in the 21st century.
