IONOI Gallery Opens in Milan with All Works Under €1,000

IONOI Gallery, founded by Alessia Rosato, opened on April 15, 2026, at Via Perugino 24 in Milan, a space formerly occupied by designer Fabio Novembre's showroom. The inaugural exhibition, 'anew spring – prima che tutto accada,' features 28 artists including Cesare Fullone, Giuseppe Frangi, Franko B., Antonio Marras, and Ercole Pignatelli, with works such as prints, objects, and multiples all priced under €1,000. The gallery aims to make art collecting more accessible and affordable, challenging the perception that Milan is expensive. Rosato emphasizes a horizontal approach where the public is invited to view and collect without deference or timidity. The opening included a performance titled 'anew blooming' by Pierandrea Rosato and Gabriele Scarcia, which explored the dialectic between curation and the art object, inviting audience participation without predefined roles. Rosato draws inspiration from cinema's democratic value, hoping to create a space where desire for art need not be justified. The gallery's concept is to foster inclusive collecting, moving away from elitist models.
