Io dico Io: Major Feminist Art Exhibition at Galleria Nazionale di Roma

The Galleria Nazionale di Roma is showcasing 'Io dico Io ‒ I say I', a group exhibition curated by Cecilia Canziani, Lara Conte, and Paola Ugolini, with backing from Dior. This exhibition features 49 female artists from Italy and delves into themes of authenticity and self-representation, drawing inspiration from Carla Lonzi, who co-founded Italy's first feminist collective in 1970. Spanning the entire museum, it highlights Lonzi's archive and her 1969 publication 'Autoritratto'. Among the remarkable works are Marisa Merz's 'Senza titolo' (1985), Chiara Camoni's 'Sisters', alongside contributions from Carla Accardi, Renata Boero, and others, underscoring the vital role of women in avant-garde art and culture.
