Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2019: Italian galleries and African art
Scheduled for February 15 to 17, 2019, the seventh Investec Cape Town Art Fair will take place in Cape Town, serving as South Africa's premier contemporary art event. This fair aims to elevate African art on the global stage, providing opportunities for both established and emerging talents. According to Director Laura Vincenti, it has the capacity to foster a sustainable arts market. The event comprises eight sections: Main Section, Tomorrows/Today, Solo, Past/Modern, Unframed, Editions, Cultural Platform, and Magazines & Publications. Renowned Italian galleries such as Galleria Minini and Galleria Continua will participate, alongside newcomers like LOOM Gallery and Lia Rumma. Prominent South African galleries include Goodman Gallery, Everard Read CIRCA, and Stevenson. The fair is organized by Fiera Milano Exhibitions Africa, a division of Fiera Milano Group.
