Invernomuto Wins Eberhard & Co Performance Prize at Palazzo delle Esposizioni
On December 2, 2017, at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, the Swiss watchmaker Eberhard & Co presented its performance award to the artistic duo Invernomuto from Piacenza. This recognition marked the conclusion of ArtOnTime, a project spearheaded by Marco Trevisan, Giorgio Fasol, and Tommaso Cinti. Invernomuto was honored with an Eberhard wall clock. ArtOnTime aims to assist emerging artists through crowdfunding efforts. A selection committee chose four artists, including Invernomuto, to showcase new performances. The prize journey included a crowdfunding campaign, a presentation at the MIA photography fair (March 10–13), an event in Venice (June 30), and the final ceremony at the Romaeuropa Festival. Their winning piece, Menelikke, intertwines Ethiopian and Italian cultures, highlighting the Italian-Ethiopian war and Emperor Menelik II.
