Intesa Sanpaolo publishes third report on Italian art collecting
Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking, in collaboration with the Direzione Arte, Cultura e Beni Storici and the Direzione Studi e Ricerche of Intesa Sanpaolo, will present the third volume of its report on art collecting in Italy on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 11:30 AM via an online event. The 2024 report, published by Edizioni Gallerie d’Italia | Skira, offers quantitative and qualitative analysis of the Italian art market, focusing on modern and contemporary art trends and collectibles. It is divided into five macro-chapters: the international and Italian market in 2023 and 2024 prospects; a portrait of Italian collectors in 2023; valuation of assets declared of historical-artistic interest; new market trajectories from decorative art to collectible design; and Intesa Sanpaolo’s collections, including new acquisitions and public exhibitions. A special focus this year is on the design market, which saw growth in 2023 and has become highly attractive to collectors. Another topic addressed is the restriction on artworks bound by the State, limiting their circulation outside Italy. The presentation will be streamed on the Intesa Sanpaolo and ANSA websites, featuring contributions from the authors.
