Interthinking bridges Hungarian avant-garde and digital art in Budapest
The "Interthinking" exhibition at the Budapest Art Factory is showcasing a unique blend of art and science until January 2025. This collaborative effort involves seven avant-garde Hungarian artists and seven modern digital creators, organized by Zurich's Kate Vass Galerie and the Kepes Institute from Eger, Hungary. Featured artists include André Kertész, Brassaï, and Victor Vasarely, alongside digital talents like Mario Klingemann and Laura Rautjoki. Standout pieces consist of Klingemann’s take on Kertész’s 1933 "Distortion," Abosch’s shadow studies inspired by Kepes, and Rautjoki’s version of Brassaï’s "Madame Bijou." Additionally, Soria-Rodríguez and u2p050 present works influenced by Moholy-Nagy and Schöffer, respectively, while Gachadoat explores geometric themes with the late Vera Molnár’s help. Kate Vass Galerie has been merging traditional and crypto art since 2018.
