International residency call in Salento's stone quarries

The Serre delle Arti. Territori di Pietra residency program in Cursi, near Otranto, invites international artists, architects, engineers, graphic designers, and designers over 18 to propose projects valorizing local stone. Promoted by SAC – Serre Salentine, the Municipality of Cursi, and the Environmental Education Center of Serre Salentine, with support from the Regione Puglia and the European Union, the call closes on August 22. Nine selected participants will work from September 12 to 22 alongside five experts and a visiting professor. Interventions may address landscape, architectural recovery of stone-cutting workshops, or object design evoking local culture through traditional techniques. Workshops will be hosted by major stone companies to foster creativity-industry links.
