International Media Mixer Brings Live Cinema to Bergamo Film Meeting
As part of the 36th Bergamo Film Meeting, the International Media Mixer – Live Cinema focuses on the use of archives as storytelling tools. Collaborating on this initiative are the Chicago Film Archives and Lab 80, along with the Archivio Cinescatti of Bergamo. Films derived from the Chicago archive were crafted by Italian artists Giuseppe Boccassini, Federico Francioni, and Yan Cheng, while American creators Lori Felker and Domietta Torlasco utilized the Cinescatti archive. These films will be showcased with live music on Sunday, March 11, at Sala alla Porta S. Agostino, featuring performers Alex Inglizian, Tomeka Reid, Patrizia Oliva, and Stefano “Urkuma” De Santis. The event, curated by Michelle Puetz and Karianne Fiorini, delves into the excavation and interpretation of historical materials.
