Interface HUB/Art Opens in Milan with Attilio Terragni Exhibition
A new nonprofit exhibition space, Interface HUB/Art, has opened in Milan, located near Rem Koolhaas's Fondazione Prada in Largo Isarco. The venue is hosted within the offices of Interface Facility Management S.r.l., a property maintenance company, and features a gallery with bold white and red walls. The building was originally designed in 2009 by architect Attilio Terragni for the Stoppani family, former owners of the renowned Milanese delicatessen Peck. In addition to exhibition space, the hub offers coworking areas aimed at fostering multidisciplinary research. The inaugural show, titled "Riverrun," features works by Attilio Terragni, curated by Elisabetta Longari. Terragni, grandson of rationalist architect Giuseppe Terragni (designer of Como's Casa del Fascio), explores formalism in painting and architecture through lines that become cuts or interruptions on surfaces. The exhibition draws parallels to James Joyce's "Finnegans Wake" in its deconstruction and reconstruction of language. Light cuts on the building's exterior walls dramatically affect interior illumination, reflecting Terragni's painterly research. The show runs from June 23 to September 15. Meanwhile, Lisson Gallery has closed its Italian branch in Milan, while Fondazione Prada has expanded with its Osservatorio space in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.
