Interactive map maps Rome's creative and cultural realities

The digital project /culture.finder/ launched on December 13, 2024, at Fondazione Opera Lucifero ex Cappella Orsini in Rome, offering an interactive map of the city's cultural scene. Conceived by Martina Germano, Nicole Greco, Martina Nutta, Arianna De Vitis, and Ilaria Di Marco, and funded by PNRR, the platform grew from the online editorial team /culture.future/, active since 2018. The map pins each entity with detailed profiles categorized into artisans, artist-run spaces, cultural centers, associations, galleries, social centers, independent bookstores, cultural salons, exhibition spaces, artist studios, and independent theaters. It also proposes walking or cycling itineraries connecting nearby venues. Each profile includes symbols indicating whether a venue is a "purple point" (a safe space for women), eco-sustainable (1-5 leaves), or inclusive (1-5 schwa). At the launch, a Monopoly-inspired game called Questionary sparked debate on topics like art monetization, technology's role in democratizing culture, public vs. capitalist art, and cities embodying urban creativity (e.g., Lisbon's late-night studios, New York's continuous vernissages).
