publication · 2026-04-26

A new online course called 'Decolonized Art History: Global Narratives from 1900 to Today' is launching on January 17 by the Italian startup Institution School. It will be held weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays until April 22 via Zoom, offering recordings and multilingual subtitles. The aim is to reframe 20th-century art history by including voices from the Global South, Asia, Africa, and Latin America alongside European movements. Notable instructors include Charles Esche and Cecilia Fajardo-Hill, covering topics like the Bengal School, Harlem Renaissance, and Fluxus. Pricing is set at €25 per session or €350 for the full course, with early bird discounts available until December 28, and reduced rates for those under 26.
