Inside Pinocchio: immersive exhibition opens in Florence
From October 11 to November 30, 2025, the Cattedrale dell'Immagine in Florence hosts 'Inside Pinocchio – Immersive Exhibition', a multimedia show for children based on Carlo Collodi's 1883 classic. Produced by Crossmedia Group with Opera Laboratori, the exhibition uses large-format projections, enveloping lights, and custom scenography to guide visitors through key episodes: Pinocchio's creation by Geppetto, adventures with Lucignolo, encounters with the Cat and the Fox, and escape from the shark. The 25-minute journey includes two interactive experiences: 'Inside Pinocchio VR Experience' with 3D viewers and 'Lavagna Magica', a digital blackboard for creating artworks. The story, first published in February 1883 by journalist Carlo Lorenzini under the pseudonym Carlo Collodi, follows the tragicomic adventures of a puppet who becomes a real boy with guidance from the Fairy with Turquoise Hair and the Talking Cricket.
