Inhotim and MASP launch exhibitions honoring Abdias Nascimento and Afro-Brazilian art

Inhotim has inaugurated the final act of its tribute to Abdias Nascimento alongside a new installation by Luana Vitra. This initiative reinforces the institution's public character while challenging the colonial aesthetic framework. Concurrently, the Museu de Arte Negra (Museum of Black Art) is being presented to the public through a collaboration between Inhotim and IPEAFRO. In February, MASP will open three new exhibitions. These developments highlight the vitality of Afro-Brazilian and Black art, emphasizing a break from colonial complicity in artistic devices.
