Influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska dies after Soho car incident
Klaudia Zakrzewska, a 32-year-old social media influencer, passed away six days after being struck by a vehicle outside a nightclub in Soho, central London. The accident took place on Argyll Street at 04:30 BST on 19 April. Originally from Essex, Zakrzewska boasted over 270,000 followers on Instagram. After being hospitalized, she succumbed to her injuries on Saturday. Gabrielle Carrington, 29, from Manchester, had been charged with attempted murder, but this will be updated to murder following Zakrzewska's death. Carrington, who has over 365,000 Instagram followers as RIELLEUK and was part of Miss Dynamix on X Factor in 2013, faces additional charges including grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving, and drink driving. A 58-year-old man sustained life-altering injuries, while another woman suffered a minor wrist injury. Carrington appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 21 April and is scheduled to be at the Old Bailey on 19 May. Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell expressed condolences and urged the public to avoid speculation. A fundraiser in honor of Zakrzewska's mother characterized her as having a "pure heart."
