Infiniti and Nichetto Studio unveil Linnéa monobloc chair at Salone del Mobile 2026

architecture-design · 2026-04-26

Italian brand Infiniti and Nichetto Studio have collaborated to create Linnéa, a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic monobloc plastic chair. Previewed at Salone del Mobile 2026 (Hall 14, Booth E31) from April 21 to 26, the chair revisits the principle of simplicity inherent in the monobloc, updating it with a contemporary language. The design draws on 1970s aesthetics but is suited for contract and residential settings. Key features include fluted legs, an opening in the backrest, and a calibrated seat angle for comfort. Linnéa is made from at least 30% post-industrial recycled plastic (PIR) in the Dove Grey version, reflecting a more responsible approach. The chair is available with or without armrests, is stackable, and comes in warm, cool, and neutral shades. The project was developed in close cooperation from concept to production, using a milled steel mold for surface quality. Infiniti's industrial know-how combined with Nichetto's design philosophy aims to refocus attention on synthesis and design efficiency.
