Indriķis Ģelzis's 'Eyelash Fortress' at Suprainfinit
Indriķis Ģelzis, a Latvian artist born in 1988, is presenting his latest solo exhibition, "Eyelash Fortress," at the Suprainfinit gallery in Bucharest. This immersive showcase blends the boundaries of the real world, dreams, and the digital atmosphere. Ģelzis, based in Riga, utilizes both traditional and modern techniques, including infographics and metadata in his sculptural work. Noteworthy pieces consist of large chrome flowers that cascade along the gallery walls, influenced by game show aesthetics. The exhibition also features striking installations such as "Wave Into Knot" and the "Time Camouflage" series. Cristina Vasilescu contributed to the exhibition's curatorial writing.
