Inclusive Art Project for Milan Cortina 2026 Paralympics

A traveling exhibition project titled 'I limiti non esistono' (Limits Do Not Exist), curated by Sabino Maria Frassà, will animate Milan, Val di Fiemme, and Cortina starting January 2025, coinciding with the XXV Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Milan and Cortina. The project features artist Fulvio Morella (born 1971 in Grosio), known for his tactile works using 'braille stellato' (a starry braille alphabet he invented in 2022). The first stop is at the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Cavalese in Val di Fiemme with the exhibition 'Le stelle che non ti ho detto,' co-curated by new director Elsa Barbieri, showcasing textile works in braille stellato. In autumn, the project moves to Milan with 'LUDI – L’arte è un abbraccio' at the Regione Lombardia headquarters, where Morella's tactile sculptures in wood, metal, and braille dialogue with inflatables by Franco Mazzucchelli (born 1939 in Milan). The final stage culminates in winter at Lagazuoi Expo Dolomiti (the highest museum in the Dolomites at 2,732 meters) with 'Cortina di Stelle,' featuring Morella's luminous Braillight sculptures for the first time in a single exhibition. The event runs from the start of the Olympics in Cortina until the Paralympics closing on March 15, 2026. Frassà, president of Cramum and creative director, states that Morella's works aim to be universal, overcoming perceptual barriers through a multisensory language that invites collective reflection on the concept of limits.
