Inaugural Pan-African Biennale Announces Participants for Nairobi Edition
The inaugural Pan-African Biennale (PAB) is set to take place in Nairobi from September 7-11, 2026, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre. Founded and directed by Omar Degan, this biennale will be the first continental architecture event focusing on spatial practices from Africa, featuring participants from over 30 countries, including Algeria, Nigeria, and Tunisia. The theme, "Shifting the Center: From Fragility to Resilience," will explore three strands: Land Under Pressure, Inherited Knowledge, and Worlds to Come. Registered in Kigali, the PAB plans to alternate locations every two years.
