IN Residence Workshop with Guillermo Santomà and Nel Verbeke in Palermo

The 13th edition of IN Residence, a research platform founded in 2008 during Torino World Design Capital, will take place in Palermo from November 13 to 16. Curated by Barbara Brondi & Marco Rainò of BRH+, the workshop titled PROXIMITY FACTOR will be held at the GAM – Galleria d’Arte Moderna di Palermo. Tutors are Spanish designer Guillermo Santomà (born 1985) and Belgian designer Nel Verbeke (born 1989). The program includes a public restitution event on November 16. IN Residence has involved 87 designers from 24 countries, with over 400 participants, 8 collective exhibitions, and 17 publications. Notable past participants include Formafantasma, Sabine Marcelis, and Mischer'Traxler. The workshop is part of the Human Flows program organized by PUSH. Local partner FARM Cultural Park, founded by Andrea Bartoli in Favara, supports five scholarships for deserving candidates.
