IN/ARCH Lazio relaunches CROSS program for architecture debates in Rome

IN/ARCH Lazio has launched CROSS, a new cultural program curated by Matteo Costanzo and Emilia Giorgi, reviving the historic lecture series 'I lunedì dell’Architettura' founded by Bruno Zevi. The series, which began in May 2018 under the presidency of Amedeo Schiattarella, aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on architecture, city, and landscape. The program features architects, artists, photographers, and curators, with a special focus on Rome. The first session was led by Jan Liesegang of Raumlaborberlin, followed by a dialogue between Roman collective Orizzontale (winners of the 2018 Premio Giovane talento dell’Architettura italiana) and Milan-based Parasite 2.0. Future participants include Labics, Tspoon, Small, stARTT, Raumplan, Supervoid, Ma0, artists Marco Tirelli and Alterazioni Video, photographer Mario Cresci, and FRAC Centre director Abdelkader Damani. The series continues on December 18 with filmmakers Ila Bêka & Louise Lemoine. Schiattarella emphasized the institute's role in cultural and economic progress, stating, 'Culture itself constitutes a true open-pit mine whose economic potential is yet to be explored.' The program includes lectures, dialogues, and roundtables, aiming to make IN/ARCH a hub for architectural discourse.
