Immersive Exhibition 'A Biblioteca à Noite' by Alberto Manguel and Robert Lepage Opens at Sesc Avenida Paulista

The immersive exhibition 'A Biblioteca à Noite,' a collaboration between Argentine writer Alberto Manguel and multimedia artist Robert Lepage with the collective Ex Machina, has opened at Sesc Avenida Paulista in São Paulo, running until February 2019. Previously presented in Canada, France, and Russia, the installation features two rooms: the first recreates Manguel's personal library in France, introducing visitors to the bibliographic universe, while the second uses 3D virtual reality to explore ten real and imaginary libraries, including the Nautilus library from Jules Verne's 'Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.' Public visitation requires prior scheduling due to the immersive activities. Additionally, the exhibition offers a series of related workshops and activities across various themes such as literature, audiovisual, and technology, including bookbinding and 360° video creation.
