IMLJD Dataset Analyzes Indian Matrimonial Litigation
A new dataset named IMLJD has been introduced, containing a total of 3,613 judicial decisions from India pertaining to marital issues. It covers pertinent laws such as IPC Section 498A and the Domestic Violence Act. This collection includes 1,474 Supreme Court judgments from 2000-2024 and 2,139 from the Karnataka High Court from 2018-2024. The dataset provides detailed labels, metadata, and a knowledge graph. Analysis shows that the Supreme Court's success rate for quashing petitions is 57.6%, while the Karnataka High Court's figure stands at 39.7%. The complete dataset is freely accessible online.
