illycaffè Unveils illy Art Collection for 2026 Venice Biennale

illycaffè has announced the new illy Art Collection for the 2026 Venice Biennale, titled "In Minor Keys," continuing its role as main sponsor. The collection transforms the iconic espresso cup into a three-dimensional canvas featuring works by four international artists: Irish artist Alice Maher, Cameroonian artist Werewere Liking, South African artist Thania Petersen, and British-Bengali artist Mohammed Z. Rahman. These artists, spanning three generations, explore the dialogue between art and everyday life, each bringing a distinct voice to the intimate cup format. Maher's work delves into mythic and bodily dimensions; Liking emphasizes collective and ritualistic color; Petersen references textile and botanical memory; Rahman uses word and image as political gesture. The collection embodies illycaffè's mission to elevate everyday rituals into moments of wonder. Cristina Scocchia, CEO of illycaffè, stated that the collection pays homage to curator Koyo Kouoh's vision of listening, stratification, and plurality of voices. The illy Art Collection will be available on illy's e-shop, in illy Caffè and illy Shop stores, through large-scale retail channels, and indirect e-commerce platforms.
