IllustriouSound: Art and Music Collective in Salento
On October 1, 2017, the group exhibition IllustriouSound opened at Laboratori Musicali, a music school and record label headquarters in Trepuzzi, Lecce province, during La Notte della Rivolta. The show features sixteen young artists from Salento, including live painter Massimo Pasca, known for his pop-vitalist comic style, and Francesco Favale (Brizzo), whose work combines surrealism with vibrant colors. Other notable participants are Giorgia Prontera, whose portrait has dreamlike qualities; the duo Amoruso/De Simone with their expressive Hymn of Liberation; and Enrica Ciurli and Chiara Spinelli, who contribute playful surrealist pieces. Most works are site-specific and linked via QR codes to specific music tracks, celebrating the fusion of music and illustration. The event also included artistic performances, live painting, concerts, and vinyl markets.
