other · 2026-05-18

On Friday night, Illuminate, the nonprofit organization responsible for The Bay Bridge Lights, presented a captivating laser display in San Francisco. This event featured a multitude of colorful lasers projected from the Transamerica Pyramid towards Coit Tower and One Sansome Street. Founder Ben Davis referred to this as a groundbreaking art form that is exclusive to the city. The weekend event serves as a purely artistic experience, providing a behind-the-scenes glimpse from the 47th floor of the Transamerica Pyramid. Having organized over 750 free shows, including during the pandemic, Illuminate also manages the renowned Pride lasers and a concert series at the Bandshell in Golden Gate Park.
