Illuminate Adelaide 2026: Moment Factory, Miguel Chevalier, and Ice Age
The winter festival Illuminate Adelaide in South Australia is scheduled for July 1–19, 2026. At the Adelaide Showgrounds, the Canadian company Moment Factory will showcase Augmented Games. The artist-in-residence for 2026, French creator Miguel Chevalier, will present Digital Abyss at Immersive Light and Arts. Additionally, the Adelaide Zoo will feature Universal Kingdom: Ice Age, showcasing illuminated prehistoric creatures. The City Lights program, which is free of charge, will include over 50 interactive artworks and will extend into Rymill Park. Night Visions returns to Adelaide Botanic Garden, alongside music festivals Unsound Adelaide (July 10–11) and Supersonic, curated by Motez and headlined by Skin On Skin. Co-founders Lee Cumberlidge and Rachael Azzopardi revealed the sixth program, while Tourism Minister Emily Bourke highlighted a $74.7 million boost for the state.
