Ilija Šoškić Retrospective Opens Across Two Serbian Museums
A significant retrospective of Ilija Šoškić, organized by Zoran Erić and Nebojša Milenković, is being showcased in a two-part exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina in Novi Sad and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade. The exhibition in Novi Sad highlights Šoškić's performances from the early 1970s, particularly the 1975 gunfire incident at Galleria L'Attico. Meanwhile, the Belgrade venue showcases conceptual art series such as SATOR and sculptural pieces from the 1980s. Titled Action Forms, the exhibition is arranged in a non-linear fashion.
