Il Saggiatore Launches Illustrated Literary Map Series
Italian publisher Il Saggiatore has launched a series of illustrated literary maps based on classic Western literature, drawn by Swedish illustrator Martin Thelander. The maps, previously published in English, were acquired by the Milanese publishing house. Currently available are maps for six European masterpieces: Dracula, Odyssey, Frankenstein, Pride and Prejudice, Mrs Dalloway, and Treasure Island. Additionally, literary maps of Florence and Turin, created by Italian illustrators for past editions of Testo and the Salone del Libro, have been added. Each A3 map, priced at five euros, features illustrations and key notes, serving as an immersive tool for following characters' movements and events. A new series is expected in autumn.
