Il Posto–Afterall Fellowship Seeks Latin American Art Specialist for Editorial Role

Applications are open until May 30, 2025 for the Il Posto–Afterall Editorial and Research Fellowship, a collaborative position between the Afterall Research Centre at Central Saint Martins and Chilean artspace Il Posto. The fellowship, financially supported by Stellart, will focus on enhancing Latin American narratives in contemporary art through editorial work on the Afterall Journal. Candidates must hold at least an MA or MFA in relevant fields like Art History, Curatorial Studies, or Latin American Studies, with proven experience in editorial, research, and publishing. Professional fluency in Spanish is essential, along with strong communication and organizational skills. The role involves commissioning content, organizing public events, and contributing to the broader research activities of the Centre. Il Posto, dedicated to conserving and promoting contemporary art from Chile and Latin America, maintains a collection of over 400 works from the 1970s onward and operates a public Research and Documentation Center. Afterall, part of University of the Arts London, publishes a journal and books while participating in an international research network. The fellow will receive access to UAL Library resources and a university email account but no stipend or expense reimbursement.
