Il Ponte auction house opens new Milan branch in Santa Giulia ahead of 2026 Olympics

market-auction · 2026-04-27

Italian auction house Il Ponte has opened a new satellite location in Milan's Santa Giulia district, moving from its previous Via Pitteri site. The new address is Via Medici del Vascello 8. The relocation is timed with the area's transformation ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, which includes the construction of an Olympic arena designed by David Chipperfield. The new space features large offices and bright exhibition and sales rooms, hosting auctions of modern furniture, paintings, carpets, books, vintage items, philately, and modern art. The move diversifies Il Ponte's offerings from its historic headquarters at Palazzo Crivelli in Brera, which continues to operate. The Santa Giulia branch aims to attract a broader audience with a more informal and accessible approach, continuing the legacy of the Via Pitteri auctions launched in 2006. September 2023 auctions are already scheduled.
