Il Giardino Libernautico: Summer Show 2022 at Fondazione Baruchello

exhibition · 2026-04-27

The sixth Summer Show, titled "Il Giardino libernautico," is currently on display at the Fondazione Baruchello in Rome, curated by Elena Bellantoni alongside Benedetta Monti and Niccolò Giacomazzi. This exhibition, part of the Estate Romana festival, will be open until September 30, 2022. Continuing the legacy of last year's curator Giulio Squillacciotti, Bellantoni upholds the artist-curator tradition. The show draws inspiration from Gianfranco Baruchello's project Agricola Cornelia S.p.A. (1973–1981). Artists such as Sara Basta, John Cascone, Grossi Maglioni, and Jacopo Natoli created works during a three-day residency, with standout pieces including Natoli's "Corticale," Grossi Maglioni's "Beast Mother," Cascone's "Xeniaformae," and Basta's action inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin's "The Carrier Bag Theory."
