IKT Congress 2026 to be held in Turin and Milan with focus on art philanthropy

The IKT International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art will hold its annual congress in Turin and Milan from May 1 to 5, 2026, bringing together nearly 100 curators. Organized by Ombretta Agrò, IKT board member and independent curator, the event marks the first Italian congress since 2001. The program includes visits to canonical institutions, independent spaces like Exposed Photo Festival in Turin, artist studios in Via Farini, Milan, and the Carol Rama house-museum. A public symposium hosted by Deloitte Italia in Milan will address art philanthropy and fundraising strategies, featuring speakers Andrea Rurale (Bocconi University) and Valerio Galli (Innextart). The congress was shortened by one day due to funding challenges. IKT aims to foster a supportive global curator community amid increasing competition and geopolitical instability.
