IKOB Feminist Art Prize 2025 Winners Announced, Exhibition in Eupen Through August

award · 2026-04-20

The IKOB Feminist Art Prize 2025 has recognized three artists, with Sandra Singh receiving the top award of €3000. Singh, a German Indian artist from Munich, employs photography, printmaking, and digital installations to investigate female autonomy and migrant identities, while also working as a photojournalist for outlets like the New York Times and Der Spiegel. Herlinde Raeman, a Belgian artist, earned €2000 for her analogue photography focusing on domestic and community spaces to build archives of underrepresented contexts. You Huize, an artist and fashion designer born in China's Minnan region, was granted €1500 for using fashion as a relational tool to study human behavior. An international jury, including Caitlin Hennen, Jemima Kulumba, Noor Mertens, Stilbé Schroeder, and Marnie Slater, selected the winners. Established in 2019, the prize aims to support feminist art in response to rising right-wing populism and political revanchism. An exhibition featuring the winners and eight shortlisted artists is currently on display at the IKOB Museum of Contemporary Art in Eupen, Belgium, until 24 August.
