Igort's '5 è il numero perfetto' Cross-Media Project Culminates in Soundtrack Album

The graphic novel '5 è il numero perfetto' by Igort (Igor Tuveri, born 1958 in Cagliari) has evolved into a film and now a soundtrack album, set for release at the end of September 2019. The film, directed by Igort himself, premiered at the Giornate degli Autori during the Venice Film Festival and is currently in theaters. The soundtrack features compositions by D-Ross (Rosario Castagnola) and Startuffo (Sarah Tartuffo), who previously collaborated with Igort on the album 'Casino' under the name Igort & The Lo Ciceros. The duo, based between Paris and Naples, won the David di Donatello in 2014 for the song 'A verità' from the film 'Song' e Napule' directed by the Manetti Bros. The soundtrack draws from diverse influences including Pink Floyd, black-surf, psychedelia, Nino Rota, and Ennio Morricone, with contributions from a soprano voice and Igort himself. The composers describe their approach as inspired by the Italian masters of film scores, while also citing Nirvana, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Fela Kuti. They collaborated with classical musicians for orchestral sounds, avoiding heavy synth use. The album will be released on vinyl with a special surprise. The project reflects a cross-media experiment blending comics, film, and music.
