Igor Mitoraj sculptures exhibited at Andrea Bocelli's beach club in Forte dei Marmi
The exhibition 'Igor Mitoraj: tra Terra e Mare' is on display at Bagno Alpemare, the historic beach establishment owned by Andrea Bocelli in Forte dei Marmi. The show features monumental bronze sculptures by Polish artist Igor Mitoraj (1944-2014), who had a studio in nearby Pietrasanta and will soon have a dedicated museum there. The exhibition is organized by Galleria d'Arte Contini in collaboration with Atelier Mitoraj, directed by Alberto Bartalini. Bocelli, who recently performed at the empty Duomo di Milano and participated in Lady Gaga's benefit concert, has been criticized for questioning the pandemic's existence and violating lockdown rules. His family renovated Bagno Alpemare, preserving its style and atmosphere, a place frequented by poets like Montale, Ungaretti, and D'Annunzio, and singers like Edith Piaf, Mina, and Ray Charles.
