Iginio De Luca's Sound Installation at Trajan's Markets

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Iginio De Luca, an artist born in Formia in 1966, has developed a sound installation titled 'Le voci di dentro' (The Voices Within) at Trajan's Markets in Rome. Curated by Francesca Guida, this project is part of the Atelier d'artista of Live Museum Live Change and will be on display until February 14, 2020. The installation turns a niche into a recording studio, where sounds from marble surfaces are captured to form an audio archive. This initiative is associated with the Avviso Atelier Arte Bellezza Cultura of Regione Lazio (P.O.R. FESR Lazio 2014/2020 action 3.3.1b), in partnership with Roma Capitale and Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali. De Luca's residency will also be documented for educational purposes, emphasizing touch, sound, and non-verbal communication.
