IGArchitects' Interlaced Wall Restaurant Renovation in Tokyo

IGArchitects, led by Masato Igarashi and Yuuki Yazaki, has completed the renovation of a restaurant interior within a commercial building, transforming a single floor into a dining space. The project, named Residencia Pared Entrelazada (Interlaced Wall Residence), covers 66 square meters and was completed in 2025. The design, curated by Miwa Negoro, abandons the conventional separation of dining room and kitchen, instead integrating various restaurant functions through a single continuous wall. The construction team included Kentaro Okata, Tomoyuki Hirabayashi, Ken Ishii, and Chiba GALAS Inc. Photographs were taken by Ooki Jingu. The project is categorized under restaurant and bar interiors. The architects aimed to explore how a restaurant's diverse functions can be subtly connected rather than divided, creating a fluid spatial experience.
