iFLY Miami Sponsors Frost Science's Extreme Sports Exhibition with STEM Education

iFLY Miami, the sponsor of the special exhibition 'Extreme Sports: Beyond Human Limits' at Frost Science, is showcasing the physics behind indoor skydiving. The exhibition, which closes on September 7, explores how physics, technology, and human skill enable extreme feats. Indoor skydiving in a vertical wind tunnel demonstrates principles such as gravity, drag, and aerodynamics, where a column of moving air supports a person in flight. Body position and small adjustments affect movement, making it a hands-on lesson in force and motion. iFLY Miami offers STEM programs for students, including demonstrations, experiments, and activities that connect classroom concepts to real-world applications. Older students can predict terminal velocity using measurements and mathematical reasoning, then compare with actual wind tunnel results. Beyond field trips, iFLY provides STEM Family Sundays, programs for Scouts, youth flight opportunities, and All Abilities Nights for participants with diverse physical and cognitive abilities.
