iF Design Award 2026 Honors Patricia Urquiola in Berlin

The iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 ceremony took place at Berlin's Friedrichstadt-Palast, awarding 74 Gold prizes from over 10,000 entries across 68 countries. Patricia Urquiola received the iF Design Lifetime Achievement Award. The event featured 131 international jurors and included the iF Design Trend Conference at AXICA near Brandenburg Gate, with 500 attendees. Uwe Cremering, CEO of iF Design, stated, 'AI does not replace design. Without design, AI is mediocre; with solid design, it becomes a strategic asset.' The iF Design Trend Report 2026 was also released, identifying four key axes for design's future. The iF DESIGN ACADEMY, launched in September 2025, completed its first year with ten educational cycles.
