ICI Curatorial Intensive Montevideo 2026: Four Latin American Voices
In March 2026, the sixth Curatorial Intensive organized by Independent Curators International (ICI) took place in Latin America for the first time in Uruguay, in partnership with the ESTE ARTE fair and the University of the Republic (Udelar). Led by Marina Reyes Franco, this eight-day program was conducted in Spanish and included twelve emerging curators from different nations. Participants explored locations such as CasaMario, where Ana Laura López de la Torre showcased her methodology, as well as SUBTE and Punta del Este. The faculty comprised Ionit Behar, Victoria Noorthoorn, Maya Juracán, and Keyna Eleison. The program culminated in a public symposium at the Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales (MNAV), where participants like Andrés Gorzycki, Paola Nava, Fabiana Puentes, and Luiza Testa shared their insights.
