ICD Brookfield Place Arts and Dar Jacir Present Group Exhibition in Dubai
ICD Brookfield Place Arts is gearing up to unveil a new exhibition titled 'Water like tears, flour like soil' on November 13, 2024. This collaboration with Dar Yusuf Nasri Jacir for Art and Research, based in Bethlehem, will explore various themes including creation, transformation, and storytelling. The title reflects a Palestinian tradition of baking bread during times of mourning, inspired by Shayma Hamad's performance, who was part of the Dar Jacir Land Program. Curated by Camila Palomino alongside Emily Jacir, the exhibition highlights memory and change. Malak Abu Qaoud, the program’s director, noted the excitement of working with Dar Jacir. Featured artists include Adam Broomberg, Ahmed Al-Aqra, and several others, all contributing to a shared cultural narrative.
