ICA Watershed 2026 season opens with Lucy Raven's US premiere of Hardpan and Murderers Bar
The 2026 Watershed season at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston will commence with the exhibition Lucy Raven: Rounds, scheduled to run from May 20 to September 7, 2026. This showcase includes the US debut of Hardpan (2025), a significant kinetic sculpture co-commissioned with the Barbican Centre in London, alongside Murderers Bar (2025), which concludes Raven's series The Drumfire. Organized by Ruth Erickson, the Barbara Lee Chief Curator and Director of Curatorial Affairs, with assistance from Curatorial Assistant Meghan Clare Considine, the exhibition has garnered excitement from Nora Burnett Abrams, the Ellen Matilda Poss Director at the ICA, for its immersive experience within the Watershed's industrial environment.
