I Maestri del Paesaggio Returns to Bergamo for Green Design Festival

The annual festival I Maestri del Paesaggio returns to Bergamo from September 4 to 22, 2019, transforming the city into a hub of green design and landscape architecture. Organized by Arketipos and the municipality, the 18-day event features free conferences, workshops, exhibitions, performances, tastings, and guided tours. The centerpiece is the Green Square in Piazza Vecchia, designed this year by Luciano Giubbilei, a three-time Best in Show winner at the Chelsea Flower Show in London. The International Meeting of Landscape and Gardens takes place over two days, with the 2019 theme "Pioneer Landscape" exploring the relationship between architecture and the natural environment. Installations include "Il salotto delle erbacee" in Piazza Mascheroni by architect Antonio Perazzi and Gardenia, "Landscape Corner" in Piazza Pontida by Lucia Nusiner and Togni Giardini, "Green Wave" at the Biblioteca Angelo Mai, and "Il Labirinto delle Meraviglie" in Piazza della Cittadella, inspired by the Labirinto della Masone in Fontanellato. Special guided tours include Food Tour and Sound Walk. The festival aims to raise public awareness of eco-design and sustainability, involving neighborhood associations and local organizations.
