I Choose Women Writers Campaign Launches Smartphone Covers at Milan Fashion Week

Writer Patrizia Finucci Gallo's campaign I Choose Women Writers, aimed at restoring historical recognition to female authors in Italian textbooks, has expanded with a limited-edition smartphone cover collection. Presented by Cover Store during Milan Fashion Week, the covers feature the campaign's slogan on a lined notebook background, allowing users to write notes with an erasable pencil. The visual design was created by Goodidea Style, who also designed the campaign's T-shirt collection by Volti Italiani, first presented at the 2016 Venice Film Festival. The campaign previously included an online contest that garnered over 2,000 reader nominations, won by designer Ana Radovanovič for her choice of Nobel Prize-winning poet Wislawa Szymborska and her book 'La fine e l'inizio.' Finucci Gallo emphasized that the underrepresentation of women in Italian school anthologies excludes a significant perspective from the cultural formation of young people, expressing hope that the cover becomes a symbol for all women.
