Hyperrealist Sculptures That Seem Alive at Palazzo Bonaparte in Rome

Palazzo Bonaparte in Rome presents 'Sembra vivo!', an exhibition dedicated to international hyperrealist sculpture, opening May 26, 2023. The show features 43 highly detailed installations by 29 artists including Maurizio Cattelan, Ron Mueck, George Segal, Carole Feuerman, and Duane Hanson. Curated by Maximilian Letze in collaboration with Nicolas Ballario, the exhibition is organized by Institut für Kulturaustausch and produced by Arthemisia. It runs until October 8, 2023. Highlights include Cattelan's banana 'Comedian' and pigeon installation 'Ghosts' (previously shown at Hangar Bicocca in Milan), Mueck's giant head 'Dark Place', Feuerman's glossy female figures, and Segal's plaster figures. The exhibition aims to replicate the success of the previous Van Gogh show at Palazzo Bonaparte, which sold over 580,000 tickets.
