Hypermaremma 2022: Expanded Team, International Artists, and Land Art Interventions Across Tuscany

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

Hypermaremma, an environmental art initiative in Tuscany, is set to take place from April 16 to September 30, 2022. Curators Giorgio Galotti, Matteo d'Aloja, Carlo Pratis, and manager Beatrice Benella have selected artists including Maurizio Nannucci and Claudia Comte. Each piece will be accompanied by critical commentary from curators like Lorenzo Bruni and Ilaria Marotta. Notable installations feature Giuseppe Gallo's 'I giocolieri dell'armonia' at Tagliata di Ansedonia beach, Nannucci's neon work in Talamone, and Comte's climate change-focused site-specific piece. An auction at Sotheby's is planned for September 2, and a Hyperpodcast will highlight the voices of the participants. The project seeks to enrich the area through lasting artworks and promote cultural tourism.
