Hunter College MFA Open Studios This Weekend Features Over 100 Students
The MFA program at Hunter College is set to present its Open Studios event at 450 West 41st Street in Times Square on Friday, November 18th, from 6 to 10 PM, and Saturday, November 19th, from 2 to 6 PM. More than 100 students will take part, transforming the venue into a blend of a public gallery and private studios. Student Kristen Studioso emphasizes the casual nature of the event, which allows for diverse presentations. Her contributions include videos from her semester in Berlin, showcased in her studio alongside a "game lounge." A silent auction featuring emerging artists such as Ahram Jeong, Kristof Wickman, and Esther Kläs will take place on Friday from 6 to 9 PM. Other art schools in New York will also host similar events in the upcoming months.
