Huang Yong Ping's 'Empires' Reviewed in artpress

The French art magazine artpress, in its May 2016 issue (n°433, pp. 8-10), reviews Huang Yong Ping's exhibition 'Empires'. Huang Yong Ping, a student at the end of the Cultural Revolution, co-founded the Xiamen Dada Zen group in early 1980s China. He participated in the 1989 'Magiciens de la Terre' exhibition at the Centre Pompidou. Following the Tiananmen Square protests that same year, he remained in France, where he continues to live and work. The review discusses his artistic trajectory and the themes of the 'Empires' exhibition.
