Hsu Che-Yu Wins Taishin Arts Award Grand Prize for Microphone Test
Hsu Che-Yu secured the Taishin Arts Award Grand Prize, earning NTD 1.5 million for his piece Microphone Test, which debuted at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum in fall 2015. Four other recipients each received NTD 500,000: Lee Mingwei for Lee Mingwei and His Relations: The Art of Participation, Chu-Yin Culture and Arts Troupe for Mailulay: Traces on the Wall, Body Phase Studio for Wall of Fog, 2015 TIFA, and National Center for Traditional Arts Guoguang Opera Company for The Painting of 18 Lohans. All five winning works are displayed at the Museum of National Taipei University of Education until 17 July. The annual award, organized by the Taishin Bank Foundation for Arts and Culture, recognizes exceptional achievements in dance, theatre, music, and visual arts from the previous year.
